I feel the bottom design is almost there -- the chair leads the eye to the essential type. The right leg on the chair swoops right in to the base line on HOUSE so keep it aligned with the base line or just slightly below. Try reducing the chair in very small increments until you get the balance perfect. I can't tell if "of Charlotte" is perfectly aligned but if its alignment with the baseline on HOUSE causes a white gap above it, just move it up into the little nitch. Of Charlotte doesn't have to be on the baseline with HOUSE because it's a separate entity. YOu're almost there. (I'm writing from the library -- just checking in).
